Job Description
Adams and Martin Group is seeking a Patent Docketing Specialist to join a law firm in downtown Minneapolis. This is a direct hire opportunity with a remote work model (only applicants local to the Twin Cities will be considered).
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and manage the docketing system, ensuring all IP deadlines are accurately recorded and monitored.
- Docket patent and trademark filings, prosecution deadlines, and maintenance/renewal fees.
- Review and analyze incoming correspondence from IP offices and foreign associates to update docket records accordingly.
- Manage and track patent annuities, ensuring timely payments and renewals.
- Coordinate with clients and foreign associates to ensure annuity instructions are clear and deadlines are met.
- Utilize Foundation IP patent management software to input, track, and manage IP records.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients regarding docketing inquiries and updates.
- Develop and implement docketing procedures and protocols to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Minimum of 4 years of IP docketing experience, with a strong focus on patent docketing.
- Proficiency in using Foundation IP patent management software is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of U.S. and international patent and trademark laws, regulations, and filing requirements.
