Are you an experienced Performance Engineer with a desire to excel? If so, then Talent Software Services may have the job for you! Our client is seeking an experienced Performance Engineer to work at their company in Santa Clara, CA.
Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Chromebook Benchmarking & Pathfinding Data Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing rigorous benchmarking on Google Chromebooks. You also will be collecting critical pathfinding data to evaluate performance. Finally, you will analyze your benchmarking results and communicate your findings to key stakeholders. Your insights will help us identify areas for improvement and drive product optimization on client's silicon.
Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Conduct benchmarking tests on Google Chromebooks, measuring performance across various metrics such as performance, battery life, and system efficiency.
- Collect data to assess device capabilities in on real-world and synthetic benchmarks.
- Analyze benchmarking and performance reports, synthesizing data to identify patterns, trends, and potential areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to share findings, provide actionable insights.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of benchmarking methodologies, data collected, and findings.
- Report out findings through clear, comprehensive reports and presentations for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Continuously stay up to date on Chrome OS updates, features, and changes that may affect benchmarking and performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or M.S. degree in Engineering or a related field (Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Electrical Engineering preferred).
- 3 + years' experience
- Strong experience with Google Chrome OS and a deep understanding of its features, performance capabilities, and potential bottlenecks.
- Familiar with running benchmarks/workloads on Chromebooks
- Proficient in analyzing and interpreting technical data and generating actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
