Position Overview
The Roosevelt Roughriders are seeking a student Video Board Operator to join their team. The Video Board Operator will work at Roosevelt Roughrider home outdoor events that use the Daktronic scoreboard. The Video Board Operator is responsible for creating an electrifying fan experience during selected live events and producing dynamic content. This position demands outstanding communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and multitasking capabilities in a fast-paced live event and production environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Daktronics Show Control, Daktronics Content Studio, and Daktronics video boards. Proficiency in graphic and video editing software, including Adobe Premiere Pro, is essential for this role. The Video Board Operator will exhibit technical skill and competence in using control room equipment, including switchers, instant replay systems, clips servers, audio mixers, communication systems, streaming services, and cameras.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Execute live content playback, including replays, graphics, animations, and advertisements. Manage content timing and sequencing to maintain an engaging fan experience. Demonstrate proficiency in handling control room equipment, such as switchers, instant replay systems, and audio mixers. Manage audio communication systems to coordinate with various production team members. Demonstrate proficiency in handling control room equipment and audio mixers. Set up, test, and calibrate equipment before each game to ensure optimal functionality. Required Skills, Experience and Abilities To perform the job successfully, you should demonstrate the following competencies:
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to multitask and solve problems in a fast-paced live event/production environment. Proven experience with Daktronics Show Control, Daktronics Content Studio, and Daktronics video boards. Proficiency in Photoshop and other graphic/video editing software. Strong technical knowledge of control room equipment, including switchers, instant replay, clips servers, audio mixers, communication systems, streaming services, and cameras. Deep understanding of basketball rules, gameplay, and terminology. Creativity and the ability to adapt to evolving game situations to improve fan engagement. Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Prior experience in a videoboard operation or similar role is preferred. Dependable - consistently at work on time, follows instructions, and responds to manager's instructions. Ability to work nights and weekends for selected events. Education and Training Successful completion of Digital Media or Foundations of Design, Multimedia Arts, & Digital Communication. Enrollment in Audio/Video Production courses are preferred. Students should be enrolled in WBL: Digital Media and Communications during the 2024-2025 year.

Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Qualifications Profile/Education/Experience
Must be a current Roosevelt High School student Must be 16 years of age or older Must have a valid Colorado Driver's License or the ability to arrange their own transportation
