Job Overview:
Evaluate patients, plans and implements an appropriate physical therapy treatment program upon the referral of a physician, dentist, or podiatrist, and under the direction of the PT Clinical Supervisor and/or Director of Rehabilitation Services
Qualifications:
Required:
- Doctorate in physical therapy from an APTA accredited school of physical therapy.
Preferred:
- PT experience
Certifications and Licenses Required:
-
Licensed in the State of New Jersey.

BLS Certification Required. (American Heart Association)

Successful completion of all Orientation Programs.
Scheduling Requirements:

Responsibilities:
-
Administers therapy treatments to patients, develops appropriate discharge plans, along with appropriate home therapy program following standard accepted therapy practice and policies and procedures of CORC and professional licensure

Evaluates/re-evaluates appropriate parameters on each patient using standard tests and procedures; records findings in the medical record and communicates same to referring physician and other members of the healthcare team as indicated in accordance with departmental and ACC policies and procedures.

Documents treatment provided, response to treatment and progress in patient medical record in a timely manner in accordance with departmental and ACC policies and procedures and professional licensure..

Accurately documents appropriate charges for therapy services provided in accordance with departmental and ACC policies and procedures and professional licensure

Recommends and adjusts adaptive equipment and provides family education and recommendations regarding home safety to maximize functional performance of patients following accepted therapy practice and department policies/procedures.

Supervises therapy assistants including but not limited to accurate and timely documentation and billing in accordance with departmental and ACC policies and procedures and professional licensure.

Supervises students appropriately; tailors supervision to student s needs, provides appropriate feedback, clarifies expectations, completes required evaluation and regularly confers with director of clinical education (CCCE)
