About The Position
Aya Locums has an immediate opening for a locum Urology job in Valencia, CA paying $1500/day- $1800/day. Job Details: Position: Physician Specialty: Urology Start Date: 04-01-25 Length: 13 weeks Schedule and Coverage: Shift Coverage: 24 Hour On Call Shift Schedule: Standard 5, 8-Hour 07:00 - 07:00 About the Facility: Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital About Locum Urologist Jobs: This is a generalized description of locum urologist job requirements. Specific assignment details may vary based on the healthcare facility, geographic location, patient population and the medical services performed. General Job Responsibilities: Diagnose, treat and manage urological disorders such as urinary tract infections, kidney stones and prostate issues. Perform various surgical interventions including cystoscopies, nephrectomies and prostatectomies. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans. Provide consultation services to other members of the medical team regarding critically ill patients. Provide patient education about conditions, treatment options and post-care management strategies. Maintain accurate and thorough medical records. Skills: Strong expertise in performing a range of both surgical and non-surgical urological procedures. Excellent communication skills to explain complex medical information to patients. Strong analytical skills to diagnose complex urological conditions. Flexibility to adapt to new work environments and different medical teams. Minimum Education Requirements: Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school. Residency training program in urology accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA). Fellowship training in a urology specialty may be required. Certifications: Board certification in urology by the American Board of Urology (ABU) or the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery (AOBS). Active and unrestricted medical license in California. Experience: While specific requirements may vary, most locum urology positions prefer candidates with at least one year of experience providing care in a clinical setting.
