Overview
Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor assigned engineering projects, ensuring adherence to quality standards and timelines. Client Collaboration:
Act as a key point of contact for clients, interpreting their needs, providing technical expertise, and representing their interests throughout the project lifecycle. Technical Expertise:
Develop and optimize tooling designs, analyze molding processes, and troubleshoot complex technical challenges. Quality Assurance:
Monitor compliance with applicable practices, QA policies, performance standards, and specifications. Documentation & Reporting:
Create detailed drawings, project specifications, technical reports, and progress updates. Process Improvement:
Identify and implement improvements to manufacturing methods, focusing on safety, quality, and efficiency, in collaboration with the Production Manager. Financial Management:
Prepare estimates, budgets, and RFQs/part quotes. Software Proficiency:
Utilize SolidWorks, IQMS, SharePoint, and Office applications effectively. Continuous Improvement:
Participate in continuous improvement and corrective action initiatives. Communication & Collaboration:
Effectively communicate with project teams, clients, and stakeholders, and provide technical support as needed. Engineering Experimentation:
Design and execute engineering experiments to optimize processes and product designs. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Plastics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent experience will be considered. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment specializing in injection molding, tooling, and plastics. Proven track record of successfully managing complex engineering projects. Strong working knowledge of injection molding processes, tooling design, and material selection. Proficiency in SolidWorks, IQMS, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. Knowledge of ASQ certification is a plus. Strong understanding of RFQ and part quoting processes. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally. Regular use of computers and office equipment.
