Platinum Global Talent Solutions is delighted to partner with our client, a leading global Consultancy renowned for delivering high-profile, complex, and iconic large-scale capital projects. With a strong focus on sustainability and innovation, our client is at the forefront of their industry. We are seeking to appoint a full-time Associate Director, Planning & Scheduling, to support major capital projects in the Life Sciences and Industrial Manufacturing sectors. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the planning and scheduling on large, complex projects. Responsibilities Managing, monitoring, and coordinating all key aspects of the planning & scheduling that include the project schedule, reporting, quality, and logistics. Managing and growing schedule/contract/risk management teams or accounts. Establishing key relationships with the client and other key stakeholders. Leading planning & scheduling teams throughout complex projects. Implementing an appropriate and effective planning & scheduling framework. Identifying project risks, developing risk mitigation and contingency plans, and implementing action plans. Day-to-day planning & scheduling of medium-large scale client projects including guiding and mentoring team members toward industry best practice. Establishing and preparing formal reporting arrangements on planning for the client. Establishing and monitoring appropriate project operating procedures and systems, specifically ensuring the management plan is being followed and adhered to. Supervising, monitoring, and reporting progress against the expectations of contracts from all perspectives. Coordinating and promoting teamwork between all project stakeholders. Providing value engineering and lifecycle costing/asset management Preparing scope of work, including identification of resource requirements, supporting the cost estimation and budget reviews. Proactively developing a plan for the timely closeout and practical completion of the works. Qualifications Relevant degree (MS/MBA preferred) with a professional qualification, and membership in industry organizations (e.g., APM, RICS, AACE) demonstrating ongoing professional development. Proven leadership in managing integrated teams on large, complex, multi-phase capital programs, particularly in life sciences and industrial manufacturing sectors. Expertise in planning/scheduling, EVM, and project controls, with proficiency in tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, and MS Excel; knowledgeable in multiple project delivery methods, including design-build and construction manager at risk. Strong commercial and financial acumen, with extensive experience in property/infrastructure project management and a solid understanding of data management practices. Demonstrated leadership of diverse teams, managing relationships with senior stakeholders, and awareness of how carbon and sustainability considerations impact project planning and execution.
