Here's a detailed breakdown of the responsibilities of a Warehouse Assistant:
Key Responsibilities:
Receiving and Processing Incoming Stock:
- Able to lift 50-100 lbs on a regular basis
- Unloading and verifying shipments.
- Checking for damage or discrepancies.
- Storing goods in designated areas.
Order Fulfillment:
- Picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipping.
- Accurately labeling and documenting orders.
- Loading and securing goods for transport.
Inventory Management:
- Maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Identifying and addressing stock discrepancies.
- Ensuring proper storage and organization of warehouse space.
Warehouse Operations:
- Operating warehouse equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Assisting with loading and unloading trucks and containers.
Other Duties:
- Forklift Certification is preferred but not required. Certification training will be available after hiring.
- Participating in inventory counts and cycles.
- Assisting with product returns and inter-store transfers.
- Communicating with other departments and vendors.
- Delivering tires to our 3 retail locations.
- Maintaining the scrap tire program for all stores.
- Assisting the purchasing coordinator with computer duties including payables and inventory.
- Overseeing online tire sale programs.
- Assisting all personnel for any and all needs.
