Portfolio Management Senior Associate
U.S. Multifamily Real Estate Fund
Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility of this role is to support the portfolio management team of a large institutional U.S. Multifamily real estate fund in executing the Funds investment strategy. Key tasks will include property investment underwriting, financial modeling, client reporting and presentations, marketing support, fund performance analysis, property valuation, and various special projects.
The candidate will collaborate closely with teams across various functions, including portfolio finance, asset management, acquisitions/development, research, and marketing/client services. Primary duties include, but are not limited to:
Conducting investment performance and financial analysis for portfolio assets and potential property investments.
Maintaining and developing proprietary financial models for the Fund.
Assisting in the preparation of property investment memorandums and financial underwriting.
Preparing, distributing, and ensuring timely adherence to deadlines for fund and investor reporting.
Preparing Fund overview presentations, analyses, and memorandums for senior management and investors.
Coordinating responses for investor/consultant due diligence inquiries.
Collaborating with asset managers and finance teams to maintain critical portfolio and property data.
Participating in the review of property business plans and valuation analyses.
Providing marketing support, including competitive analysis, reviewing industry trends, and handling other special projects.
Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree in finance, business, economics, or real estate.
5-7 years of relevant work experience in finance or business-related fields; 2-3+ years of experience if the candidate holds an MBA or a masters degree in a business-related field.
Institutional real estate experience is preferred; multifamily investment experience is a plus.
Strong understanding of property cash flow mechanics, investment analysis, and equity/debt considerations.
Excellent business writing and financial analysis skills, with high proficiency in preparing and delivering memorandums, analytical reports, and data visualizations.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint); experience with Argus is a plus.
Exceptional interpersonal communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
