We’re working with a series D startup backed by Tier 1 investors, currently generating substantial ARR. They're powering the future of secure, intelligent device management and are looking for a foundational team member to own and scale their platform/infrastructure from 1>10.
About the Role As a
Principal Platform/Infrastructure Engineer,
you’ll architect, build, and scale the systems that power our core products. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in high-impact, high-growth environments. You'll work closely with the CTO, product, and engineering teams to shape technical direction, drive best practices, and lay the groundwork for a world-class engineering platform.
What You’ll Do Design and implement scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure AWS/GCP/Azure]) Build internal tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and developer productivity systems Own core infrastructure components (e.g., observability, deployment, networking, authentication) Drive architectural decisions and set technical standards Partner with engineering teams to ensure reliability, performance, and scalability across services Champion DevOps culture and modern infrastructure practices Mentor engineers and contribute to technical leadership across the company
What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent practical experience) 5–10 years of hands-on experience in platform engineering, site reliability engineering (SRE), or infrastructure roles Proven track record of designing, building, and maintaining reliable, scalable systems in production environments Deep understanding of cloud-native architecture, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and infrastructure as code (e.g., Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, AWS/GCP) Experience driving performance, availability, and incident response improvements across complex systems Strong collaboration skills- comfortable working cross-functionally with product, security, and development teams to align platform investments with business goals Passionate about automation, resilience engineering, and improving developer experience through internal tooling and platforms. Must be located in Miami, or open to relocation.
Bonus Points Experience with security, compliance, or infrastructure cost optimization Familiarity with data infrastructure (e.g., Kafka, Snowflake, Airflow) Background in supporting ML/AI or data-heavy systems
Compensation $200,000-$250,000 with flexibility. Additional equity, bonus, and financial benefits are availble.
