About the Role:
Mollie Stone’s Markets is seeking an Assistant Produce Manager at our Tower location. The ideal candidate will be customer service-oriented and flexible in handling various daily tasks. Essential Functions: Assist and support the Produce Manager with all departmental functions Participate in interviewing, training, and developing produce department staff Establish and maintain a positive work environment Follow department procedures to maintain supplies Manage inventory and pricing, including signage, to meet margin and labor targets; oversee product sampling Ensure freshness and quality of products upon delivery and restocking Monitor and maintain proper rotation of all fresh produce Minimum Qualifications: Previous experience in a produce department Customer service experience in retail/grocery Excellent and consistent customer service skills Passion for fresh, natural foods and a team-centered attitude Ability to identify produce quality by sight or smell Strong communication and motivation skills; able to work well with others and convey enthusiasm Self-motivated and solution-oriented Ability to train and inspire diverse team members to excellence Knowledge and appreciation of natural foods Flexible availability including mornings, evenings, and weekends Local candidates only Physical Requirements: Regularly lift at least 50 lbs Stand and walk up to 8 hours daily Reaching up to 4 hours daily Benefits: Union position with competitive pay Medical, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance and employee assistance programs Pension plan and commuter benefits Employee discounts and paid time off Pay Range:
