The Production Supervisor will oversee a team of approximately 40 production employees per shift in an automotive manufacturing plant specializing in machining rotors. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of production lines, meeting production targets, and leading the team to achieve manufacturing goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision and Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of approximately 40 production employees per shift. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Production Management: Oversee the operation of multiple production lines and areas within the plant. Ensure production targets are met and quality standards are maintained.
- Scheduling: Develop and manage shift schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels and efficient use of resources.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all production activities comply with safety regulations and company policies. Conduct regular safety training and audits.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
- Collaboration: Work closely with maintenance, engineering, and quality teams to support manufacturing goals and address production-related issues.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished products. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely availability of necessary materials.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production activities, including work orders, production logs, and quality reports.
