Created 20yrs ago in a Chicago basement built upon the love of the music industry. The main core of Glowtronics has always been based around positive artistic minded people.
Over the years we’ve acquired the tools and developed the skills to become a premium design/print/cut/sew shop allowing us to shape textiles and produce astonishing unique products for the worlds’ largest record labels, artists, musicians, festival and conference vendors/organizers.

You will need to be meticulous with production/product quality control and helping organize our shop.
You must be able to problem solve both individually and with a team, have excellent communication and relationship-building skills, as well as the motivation to work independently.
As the Dye Sublimation Production Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations of our production process, ensuring smooth workflow. Your responsibilities will include operating equipment, maintaining quality control standards, and supervising staff to ensure efficient and successful production.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Production Planning and Workflow Management
- Plan, organize, and oversee all stages of the production process
- Coordinate production schedules and allocate resources to meet project deadlines
- Monitor workflows to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and consistency
Quality Control
- Maintain strict quality standards throughout printing, cutting, finishing, and packaging
- Inspect and approve finished products prior to shipment
Team Leadership
- Supervise, train, and mentor production staff, fostering a supportive and productive environment
- Encourage team collaboration, accountability, and ongoing skill development
Equipment Maintenance
- Operate, and maintain production equipment (rotary heat presses, laser cutters, etc.)
- Coordinate regular maintenance and address technical issues proactively
Pre-Press & Finishing Collaboration
- Work closely with design and pre-press teams to ensure artwork and file accuracy
- Oversee finishing tasks including grommeting, trimming, packaging, and shipping
Material Management
- Maintain inventory of materials on a regular basis and communicate inventory needs to various departments.
Problem Solving
- Identify and resolve production issues, implementing solutions to maintain efficiency and quality.
Safety Compliance
- Ensure all production processes comply with relevant safety regulations and standards.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify areas for improvement in production processes and implement changes to enhance efficiency and quality.
What you need to have:
Dye Sublimation & Direct to Film Expertise
- Extensive experience in all aspects of the dye sublimation production.
Leadership and Management
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team, delegate tasks, and motivate staff effectively.
Technical Proficiency
- Strong understanding of shop equipment & Mac/PC proficiencies.
Problem-Solving Skills
- Ability to identify and resolve technical and operational challenges.
Communication Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with designers, and team members.
Organizational Skills
- Capable of managing multiple projects, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines.
Quality Control Knowledge
- In-depth understanding of quality standards and processes for printed materials.
