Job Description:
Allegria Nursing & Rehabilitation located in Port Jefferson Station is looking for an enthusiastic staffing coordinator to join or team.The staffing coordinator will be responsible for the overall staffing needs of the facility.
Responsibilities:
Ensures the schedules are provided to staff and posted in a timely manner
Communicates with Director of Nursing and Deparment Heads staffing needs, communicates openly with shift supervisors
Maintains civerage in the absense of the HR/Payroll Director
Maintains and posts the Medicare/Medicaid Staffing Daily
Ensures documentation of individual staff call outs and communicates with DON/Department Heads as needed-Follows Attendance Policy
Monitor daily PPD
Reviews PTO requests for nursing department
Reviews time sheets weekly and ensures accuracy and timely approval for payroll processing
Monitor and minimize staff overtime
Knowledgeable of Nursing Budget as it relates to staffing
Requirements/Qualifications:
3 Years staffing experience preferred
Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred
Union experience
Education
Mid Level (3-6 years)
Experience
High School Diploma/GED
