Nwankpa Design is seeking an
Intermediate Architectural Designer
to support a
fast-paced aviation project
in a primarily
technical production
role. This is a
full-time, contract position
where you will be
embedded with a partner architectural firm , working on-site at the project office alongside a multidisciplinary team of architects, engineers, and consultants. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills, enjoys collaborative environments, and thrives in the complexity and pace of large-scale aviation projects. The role focuses on technical execution, documentation, and coordination rather than conceptual design. This is an in-person position based at the project site in Los Angeles, with a duration of approximately 1-2 years. Responsibilities
Develop detailed architectural drawings, technical documentation, and project deliverables using Revit and related software. Coordinate with architectural and engineering teams to ensure accuracy and consistency of construction documents. Support the translation of design intent into technical solutions and assist with construction administration. Attend project meetings, conduct site visits, and collaborate with internal and partner teams. Work effectively under deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Maintain high technical quality standards throughout the project phases. Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture. 3–6 years of professional experience, preferably with commercial, aviation, or transportation projects. Proficiency with Revit and strong technical documentation skills. Ability to work collaboratively within large, multidisciplinary teams. Knowledge of building systems, construction detailing, and coordination practices. Excellent communication and organizational skills, proactive and team-oriented. Interest in aviation or large-scale infrastructure projects is highly preferred. About The Role
