We are seeking an results driven Project Manager to lead multiple conservation and restoration projects on some of the UK's most treasured historic and listed buildings. This is a fantastic opportunity for a heritage-focused professional based in Leeds, Manchester, or Liverpool to make a lasting impact in the conservation sector.
The Role – Project Manager
As a Project Manager, you will oversee the delivery of multiple conservation projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You will work closely with skilled tradespeople, conservation specialists, and key stakeholders to protect and restore architecturally significant buildings.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and deliver multiple heritage and restoration projects, ranging in value from £250k - £1m.
Oversee specialist works including stone masonry, plastering, sculpting, painting, and general restoration.
Work closely with craftsmen, conservation specialists, and site teams to ensure work aligns with heritage guidelines.
Managing up to 10 direct employee's per site.
Typically running 2/3 projects simultaneously.
Ensure project timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
Engage with clients, heritage bodies, and stakeholders, maintaining strong professional relationships.
Lead site teams and subcontractors, ensuring health and safety compliance and effective workflow.
Problem-solve and adapt to project challenges to ensure smooth delivery.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in Project Management within the conservation, restoration, or construction sectors.
A passion for heritage, history, and architectural preservation.
Strong organisational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
A good understanding of heritage conservation best practices, traditional construction techniques, and materials.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
