Zurichs Risk Engineering Property North-West Team is seeking a Property Field Risk Engineering Consultant with large property highly protected risk (HPR) experience. This is a work-from-home role, ideally based within the California Bay Area to Monterey areas, with expected travel of 25-30%.
Our Property Field Risk Engineering Consultant responsibilities include:
- Providing field risk engineering to meet underwriting requirements.
- Developing and implementing customer service strategies to reduce loss and improve operations.
- Supporting underwriting teams by attending client and broker meetings.
- Performing field engineering services for larger locations within the region.
- Delivering advanced property consultative services, identifying exposures, investigating major losses, and advising on property management programs.
- Assisting in marketing Zurichs risk transfer insurance products in collaboration with underwriting professionals and agents.
This role will be filled at either the Consultant or Senior Consultant level. The appropriate level will be determined based on the applicants experience and skills.
Basic Qualifications:
Consultant Level:
- Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years in Property Risk Engineering OR
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5+ years in Property Risk Engineering OR
- Zurich Certified Apprentice with an Associates degree and 3+ years in Property Risk Engineering, plus experience working in a team environment.
Senior Consultant Level:
- Bachelors Degree and 6+ years in Property Risk Engineering OR
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8+ years in Property Risk Engineering, plus experience with Microsoft Office and teamwork.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Fire Science, or related field.
- HPR Property experience.
- Property Loss control/Risk Engineering experience within insurance.
- Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS).
- Strong communication and collaborative skills.
- Proficiency with PC and MS-Office software.
Zurich offers a competitive salary range from $74,300 to $161,000, depending on experience and level, with specific starting ranges for Consultant and Senior Consultant roles.
