Overview
This role is within the Retirement Solutions business of the Client Solutions Group at Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM). Retirement Solutions encompasses our Defined Contribution business, Retirement Intermediary and Insurance, and a dedicated large market retirement distribution effort. Our Defined Contribution offerings include investment products across asset classes (DCIO), advisory/OCIO services, and digital advice/managed accounts.
YOUR IMPACT
We are seeking a highly motivated, relationship-driven individual for a role in the Retirement Team, collaborating closely with our Global Consultant Relations team and the U.S. Institutional Sales Team.
In this role, you will drive public and private markets fundraising, stable value fundraising, and promote our Retirement Planning and Advice solutions (managed accounts) with the U.S. DC Consultant channel. You will also support the day-to-day needs of the Institutional Client Business to acquire and retain clients.
HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
Build and develop relationships with DC consultants to achieve commercial objectives Partner with senior relationship managers working with sophisticated DC consultants and plan sponsors Participate in retirement-related projects and product initiatives, helping to evolve market positioning for DCIO strategies, CIT launches, stable value, and managed accounts with DC consultants Organize meetings, due diligence reviews, and presentations between DC investment consultants and GS Research and track progress with investment consultants, including RFI/RFP responses, sales opportunities, ratings, and market trends Develop partnerships with internal sales teams to commercialize our DC Retirement business strategy
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in consultant relations, institutional (pension) sales, client relations, investment/fund consulting, or as a product specialist Strong interpersonal skills and a commercially minded approach, with the ability to build excellent relationships internally and externally Excellent written and oral communication skills Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced, global team Organized with strong attention to detail Project management skills and the ability to execute objectives Salesforce proficiency is preferred
Salary Range
The expected base salary for this Chicago-based position is $100,000 to $230,000. An additional discretionary bonus may be available for active employees at fiscal year-end.
