Job Description:
- Work primarily with post-surgical and telemetry patients. - Provide care for patients undergoing procedures such as joint replacement surgery, general surgery, and hysterectomy. - Manage patients with conditions such as pneumonia, renal failure, chest pain, atrial fibrillation, and infections including cellulitis and complex wounds. - Occasionally perform non-complicated wound irrigation and debridement procedures. - Utilize common equipment such as IV pumps, sequential compression devices (SCDs), and telemetry monitoring. - Titrate vasoactive drips, specifically focusing on medications like Cardizem. - Ability to float as needed within the skillset. - Required to work every other weekend. - Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio typically ranging from 1:4 to 1:5.
