As a
Registered Nurse (RN) in our Outpatient Wound Care Department , you will play a crucial role in the treatment of complex wounds with delays or potential for delay in healing. Our team is committed to providing expert care and fostering collaboration among our centers to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Location:
3 clinics - Mt Vernon, Fairfax, Fair Oaks Wound Care. Base will be Mt Vernon.
Schedule : PRN variety, typical office hours are M-F, 8:30a-5p, no weekends, holidays, or on-call. 4-6-week advance scheduling.

Registered Nurse (RN) Outpatient Wound Care Job Responsibilities:
Performs essential duties necessary to clinic or non-acute operations to include taking vitals, stocking exam rooms, giving vaccines, blood draws, etc.
Formulates plans of care based on trends of similar patients including patient education and discharge planning. Identifies variances from expected outcomes. Evaluates patient outcomes and makes revisions to plans of care.
Collaborates with patients/families to identify realistic desired outcomes. Adapts standards and guidelines for individual patients. Tailors and prioritizes caring practice to individual needs including cultural, ethical and spiritual needs.
Participates in the planning of routine transitional healthcare needs (i.e. treatment options, patient placement options, end of life options). Responds to changes in patients' needs and provides holistic caring.
Makes independent clinical decisions based on knowledge drawn from education and experience.
Actively advocates for patients' rights and identifies potential conflicts.
Ensures efficiency in the delivery of care. Determines immediate priorities and offers solutions for problems. Works with the team to achieve maximum productivity.
Adapts planned educational programs and information to individual patients and families by modifying teaching strategies or content
Performs other duties as assigned
Registered Nurse (RN) Outpatient Wound Care Job Requirements:
Work schedule:
PRN variety, typical office hours are M-F, 8:30a-5p, no weekends, holidays, or on-call. 4-6-week advance scheduling.
Education : BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
Experience : 0 years of registered nurse clinical experience.
Licensure/Certifications : BLS and ACLS for Healthcare Provider Certification from the American Heart Association; RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a RN
Registered Nurse (RN) Outpatient Wound Care Job Preferred Qualifications:
Experience : 1 year of acute care as a Nurse. Wound care experience. No new grads.
