Description
JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position will work 4 days at the Lansing Clinic and 1 day at the Atchison Hospital.
The Radiologic Technologist is a key member of the radiology team. The Radiologic Technologist will work under the direction of the Director of Radiology. The Technologist identifies patient service requirements by establishing personal rapport with patients, family members, and others. The technologist will ensure the operability of radiology equipment and report problems to the supervisor. The technologist is responsible for the production and quality of radiographs by following established standards and procedures, observing radiographic results, and making necessary adjustments while maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. The technologist will acquire images by properly preparing the patient for the radiological procedure, positioning the patient, and manipulating equipment into a specified position. The technologist will follow the ALARA principles to set exposure factors necessary to obtain quality images. The technologist will protect patients and employees by adhering to radiation safety, infection-control policies and protocols, and HIPAA compliance policies.
The technologist will maintain professional and technical knowledge in compliance with the ARRT continuing education standards. The technologist will be responsible for obtaining blood specimens and collecting nonblood specimens such as urine, sputum, and throat swabs for laboratory testing.
Duties may include but are not limited to: Able to work as a member of a team and independently. Understand and follow safe work practices. Ensure that all Amberwell procedures are followed in accordance with established policies. ABOUT AMBERWELL HEALTH:

Minimum Required Education: Successful completion of JRCERT accredited education program Preferred Education: Associate or Bachelor's in Radiologic Science
Licenses:
Minimum Required Licenses: Kansas State Board of Healing Arts LRT. Preferred Licenses:
Certifications:
Minimum Required: ARRT (R) certification, BLS Preferred Certifications: Phlebotomy Certification
