Overview
Summary Our client is a well-established urgent care provider with multiple locations across the Greater Boston area. They are seeking a Radiology Technician (RT) to perform diagnostic imaging procedures and support providers in evaluating injuries and illnesses. When imaging volume is low, this position shifts into a hybrid role assisting with front desk or clinical responsibilities, making it ideal for candidates who enjoy variety and team collaboration. The work environment is fast-paced but supportive, with full benefits, consistent scheduling, and opportunities for professional development.
Salary $40-$60/hour, depending on experience. Radiology Technicians enjoy a consistent 3x12 schedule, eligibility for overtime, and a comprehensive benefits package that enhances the total compensation offering.
Job Responsibilities You'll perform diagnostic imaging procedures, positioning patients appropriately while maintaining comfort and adhering to safety standards. You'll ensure image quality and proper identification, coordinate any necessary equipment maintenance, and troubleshoot minor technical issues. When not actively scanning, you'll support general clinic operations including front desk coverage and clinical tasks as needed. Technicians are assigned to a primary clinic and float to a nearby secondary location one day per week.
Qualifications Candidates must hold an associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school. ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification is required. While six months of experience is preferred, new graduates are welcome to apply and will be considered if they are eager to learn and contribute to a team environment.
Preferred Attributes Strong interpersonal and communication skills, flexibility in supporting both imaging and clinic operations, and a collaborative mindset. Technicians who are adaptable, proactive, and confident working independently tend to thrive in this role.
