Research Associate I, Assay Development
Location: San Diego, CA
Salary: $28 - $32 per hour

Job Overview
We are looking for a Research Associate I to join our Assay Development team. In this role, you will be involved in running western blots, performing ELISA assays, and designing your own custom ELISA kits. You will receive mentorship and contribute to a dynamic, fast-paced group. This position offers opportunities to develop your skills and knowledge in assay development.
Key Responsibilities
- Run western blots and ELISA assays, including designing and executing custom ELISA kits
- Work on protein/antibody conjugation techniques
- Provide support to the assay development group and assist with day-to-day changes in direction
- Create experimental plans, perform dilutions and calculations, with oversight from senior team members
- Maintain a strong understanding of the scientific rationale behind experiments
Qualifications
- BS degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field required
- Hands-on experience in a research lab is a must
- Experience with pipetting, ELISA, and western blot techniques
- Ability to work independently, adapt to changing tasks, and follow experimental plans
- A curious scientific mindset with a strong desire to learn
