As a Prep Cook, you will get to prepare crave-able food, in a timely manner, that meets or exceeds safety and Chick-fil-A quality requirements. You will enjoy a fast-paced work environment that is both fun and safe. An emphasis will be placed on salad, cold food, catering, and breakfast preparation. Responsibilities of a Prep Cook: Love working with people Look for opportunities to stock or clean when not preparing food Making and assembling food with speed and accuracy Learn all back of house positions including waffle fry preparation, nugget preparation, sandwich preparation, Chick-fil-A cooking, preparation, and breading. Food safety is our #1 priority. Constantly check temperatures and insure food safety along with brand food quality and safety standards Checking for product quality and consistency Have an in-depth knowledge of menu items Complete all Pathway training materials pertaining to food preparation.
As a Prep Cook we ask you to: Have a High School diploma or equivalent Have the ability to communicate effectively in English Be at least 16 years of age Be willing and able to work a flexible schedule Have the ability to lift and carry 30-65 lbs. Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time, exceeding 7-9 hours. Have reliable transportation Be comfortable working outside, if necessary, in varying weather conditions Be proficient in food safety Cross train in other areas of the restaurant when needed Be timely with a sense of urgency when preparing food in a timely safe manner. Be comfortable in a fast paced environment Smile Create and Maintain Eye Contact Honor and encourage others to follow the visions and values of the restaurant Ability to multitask quickly, yet thoroughly Team-oriented, adaptable, dependable, and strong work ethic Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
Applicants will also be expected to be able to work on their feet for several hours at a time and may have to lift 30-65 pounds. Outside work is required. Prior experience is preferred, but not necessary. Upon employment option to go full time will be decided by Kitchen Manager or Operator.
