Guaranteed Hours: 40
Experience: Minimum of 2 years preferred
License: RN License
Certifications: Wound Care Certification preferred; BCLS required in specialty areas
Must-Have: Wound Care Certification
Job Description:
- Collaborate effectively by establishing satisfactory interpersonal relationships with colleagues, patients, families, and significant others. - Initiate communication with patients and families to determine individual needs. - Provide detailed patient education during inpatient stay and discharge. - Respond effectively, both verbally and non-verbally, to communications from patients, families, and colleagues. - Make decisions and actions on behalf of patients in an ethical manner. - Demonstrate sensitivity to personal values and those of others. - Involve patients and families in the plan of care, incorporating their cultural, spiritual, and other belief systems. - Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. - Exhibit good interpersonal and communication skills. - Meet physical demands that involve standing, walking, sitting, talking, hearing, and bending.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree required - Master's Degree in Nursing preferred
Skills:
- Ability to prioritize and problem-solve - Ability to collaborate effectively with the healthcare team
