Expected pay for this position is $45.59 - $53.63/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is a Salaried position.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Systems Administrator III provides exceptional, advanced-to-expert Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 technical support in configuration, implementation, maintenance, and testing for all systems and storage implemented across the Ministry, under the guidance of an Engineer. The Administrator aligns with the Systems Engineer for overall direction to guide Level I and II staff to plan and provide overall service excellence and strategy development and implementation by providing solution evaluation, technical guidance, and implementation plans for physical and virtual compute systems plus core storage systems (Tiered Storage, NAS, Virtualization, Backups, etc.) The role is responsible for ensuring maintenance, stability, availability, and reliability of all systems and storage implemented and provides system specifications, performance management, and capacity planning for all new and existing systems. With direction from the Engineer, the administrator will also provide design changes for application integration, system administration, problem management, preventive maintenance, and performance tuning, all within best practice standards. Available to respond to emergency situations outside of normal business hours.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Associate's Degree Experience: 5 years of experience supporting and troubleshooting operating systems and servers for enterprise-level systems 5 years of Storage Technologies (Tier 1, 2, 3 Storage, Cloud Storage, NAS, SAN, VM, Backup) 1 year of experience working with Networking Technologies (Switches, Load Balancers, VPNs, Firewalls, VOIP) Other Skills/ Knowledge:
Strong communication and customer service skills. Advanced analytical, problem solving, and multi-tasking skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft technologies (Server, Exchange, Windows, AD), Virtualization technologies (VMWare, XenServer, Hyper-V) Backup/Recovery technologies, Disaster Recovery, IBM P series/AIX technologies. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor's Degree Experience: 7 years of experience supporting and troubleshooting systems and servers for enterprise-level systems. 7 years of Storage Technologies (Tier 1, 2, 3 Storage, Cloud Storage, NAS, SAN, VM, Backup). 3 years of experience working with Networking Technologies (Switches, Load Balancers, VPNs, Firewalls, VOIP). Experience with healthcare specific concepts, software, systems, and practices. Licensure/ Certification: Microsoft (MCSE, MCITP, MCTS, Azure), Linux, Storage (EMCST, EMCTA, EMCIE), or VMWare (VCP-DCV)
