Job Title: Safety Supervisor - TA / Capital Projects

Job Summary

The Safety Supervisor – Turnaround & Capital develops, implements, and evaluates safety programs and procedures related to maintenance events and capital projects to ensure personnel and facility safety.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, plus 10 years of safety experience (highly preferred); or
• Associate's degree in a related field, plus 12 years of safety experience; or
• High school diploma plus 14 years of safety experience in lieu of degree
• Experience in refining, petrochemical, or chemical facility safety leadership, particularly in turnaround and/or capital projects
• Leadership experience, including developing and implementing plans and processes, developing teams, and conducting audits/investigations
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of applications
• Experience with implementing enterprise-wide HSSE data reporting/capture software applications (such as Enablon), preferred

Job Duties

• Manage overall turnaround and capital safety processes
• Drive continuous improvement of safety performance by standardizing safety planning and audit processes
• Manage field safety personnel to support turnaround and capital project organizations
• Develop individual TA/capital safety action plans
• Coach and mentor safety, refinery, and contractor personnel via individual interactions, safety huddles, group training, and constructive feedback to enhance developmental needs
• Perform audits to ensure compliance with health and safety procedures
• Participate in incident investigations as Leader or Team Member; this includes developing PowerPoint presentations and presenting to leadership
• Perform other tasks and/or projects as assigned by the Health & Safety Manager
