Job Summary
Manage and apply resources to general research operations, guided by experience, organizational goals and operational strategies. Also responsible for the management of cyclical projects. Work on complex research matters where analysis of issues, data and process require advanced specialist knowledge and in-depth industry and technical knowledge.
Collaborate with executive-level management to design and implement research plans and strategies for large scale multi-site research projects. Provide research expertise and research support for new and existing initiatives in accordance with all federal regulations and guidance documents for the conduct of research, and in accordance with industry and enterprise policies and procedures.
Direct the scope of work, deliverables and timelines for various projects, and direct the allocation of budgets, personnel and resources. Establish effective communications with executives, directors and staff to ensure the meeting of departmental needs.
Direct research protocol in multiple subject disciplines using modern research methods, data collection and analysis.
Occasional local travel between sites may be required.
Qualifications
Doctorate (PhD), Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) required.
Minimum of ten years post-doctoral experience in related subject field of study. Minimum six years of independent research, history of recurrent external funding of independent research program, and management experience required. Full Professor equivalent.
