Position Title: Health Aide
FLSA Status:
Non-Exempt
FTE:
1.0, M-F 9:00am-12:00pm
Start Date: August 20, 2025
Qualifications:
LPN preferred but would consider a candidate with a strong healthcare background (Medical Assistant or EMT, etc). Experience working in a school health office is preferred.
CPR and First Aid Certifications required (can train if needed).
Ability to communicate well with students, parents, and staff members.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to prioritize needs and multitask.
Attention to detail required.
Description:
Provide First Aid to students and staff.
Help to manage chronic conditions under the direction and delegation of the LSN.
Ensure proper documentation is provided by parents and prescribers for medication administration.
Administer medications safely as delegated by the LSN.
Keep accurate documentation of health records.
Keep the Health Office clean and safe.
Prepare medications for field trips and ensure that they are delivered to the responsible staff member.
Maintain confidentiality for students and staff.
Follow district policies and procedures and Minnesota law in the care delivered to students.
May be asked to float to SAVHS/SAMS Health Office occasionally as substitute.
Member of the Emergency ResponseTeam.
Other tasks as assigned by the LSN, building principal, or Executive Director of Academics. Salary and Benefits:
Salary:
Range: $21.26-25.38/hr Salary placement is based on experience and education level, as per district guidelines.
Benefits:
Comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, dental insurance, PERA pension & 403b plan.
