SciPro has partnered with an AI drug discovery biotechnology company who is seeking a highly motivated and creative Research Assistant in Boston to contribute to the development of a multiplexed high-throughput in-vitro platform for AI-based drug discovery. The successful candidate will perform molecular biology analyses and cell-based studies along with lab maintenance work to support platform development and drug candidate screening. This company is an innovative global start-up company pioneering drug development. Responsibilities: Conduct in-vitro experiments, including cell culture maintenance, iPSC differentiation, characterization, and endpoint assays Perform biochemical, electrochemical, and imaging tests for analyses Execute assays such as qPCR, ELISA, Flow Cytometry, and Immunostaining to assess gene/protein expression and biological effects in primary and iPSC-derived 3D organoid cultures Receive, label, and safely store materials and samples Maintain records of all received samples and materials Report and discuss experimental results Clean and maintain lab equipment, including recalibration Maintain equipment records and daily work logs Prepare commonly used lab materials and specific assay components Stay updated on technical and scientific advances in relevant fields Summarize findings in presentations to internal stakeholders Collaborate with lead scientists to design workflows and study plans Participate in team meetings and provide regular oral and written updates on projects and milestones Review literature and work with colleagues to develop new methodologies and protocols Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in cell biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, or related discipline with 4+ years of industry experience; or Master’s degree with 2+ years of industry experience Experience with biotechnology lab routines Experience working with primary human cells/organoids Experience with stem cells (e.g., iPSC and ESCs) and differentiation into various lineages Proficiency in lab techniques such as Fluorescence Microscopy, qPCR, ELISA, Flow Cytometry, and other biochemical assays Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to contribute to multiple fast-paced projects concurrently Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication and organizational skills Collaborative mindset and willingness to work with researchers from different disciplines Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years of laboratory experience in an industry setting Availability to work on weekends for cell culture maintenance and time-dependent studies Experience in drug toxicity assays and knowledge of cardiovascular biology Seniority level
