Cat Daddy is looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to join our team. The HRBP will contribute at both a strategic and hands-on level to support all People initiatives and activities for the Cat Daddy team. Our ideal candidate is: A Trusted Partner : You will build solid relationships with employees at all levels and work to identify and develop key HR initiatives and processes with key partners. An Excellent Teammate : You have a true hands-on approach and are willing to jump in and help out where needed, while collaborating with the broader People team and HR partners globally. An Analytical Problem Solver : Your step-by-step approach to thinking allows you to understand HR policies and implications. You have the ability to solve problems quickly and effectively, demonstrating a passion for providing and implementing innovative solutions to difficult problems. This role reports to the Head of People and partners closely with studio leadership. We prefer the position to be onsite with the team in Kirkland, WA. What you’ll do:
Partner with business leaders in developing people strategies that support strategic objectives. Supervise the New Hire Onboarding Program, including hiring manager training, driving execution of various onboarding tasks, assessing feedback from new hires, and implementing improvements to cultivate a positive new hire experience and team integration. Lead employee relations issues, conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations. Lead the performance management program including administering performance review cycle(s), career development, corrective action, and providing day-to-day coaching and guidance. Drive employee engagement initiatives, liaising with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase efficiency and retention. Handle employee departures, including preparation of employee separation notices and related documentation; conduct separation meetings. Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with the legal department as needed/required. Provide guidance and input on organizational planning such as workforce and succession. Prepare internal communications as appropriate. Coach and mentor other team members. Other duties as assigned. Who We Think Will be a Great Fit:
5+ years’ experience in HRBP or similar role. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field. Demonstrable track record of effectively communicating information and responding to questions from employees, candidates, and business leaders. Shown ability to balance multiple projects and meet completion targets. Good judgment, able to make timely and sound decisions. Analytical, flexible, and innovative teammate. Excellent written, verbal communication, and strong interpersonal skills. Detailed understanding of human resources principles and practices, including but not limited to performance management, employment law, compensation, and employee relations.
