As part of a fast-moving team, the Applications Engineer will report directly to the Design Engineering Director. The product focus is on MMIC amplifiers including LNAs, power amplifiers, and distributed wideband amplifiers. This role primarily supports products from their concept and early development phase through production release. Occasional support of the application team handling released products will be required. The ideal candidate will have experience working in an R&D engineering environment. The role involves collaboration mainly with design engineers, engineering lab staff, and key customers. The engineering lab is equipped with an assembler, two technical associates, and state-of-the-art characterization equipment and probe stations. Responsibilities: Technical lead in engineering lab testing of parts operating from 100 kHz to 110 GHz. Authoring and releasing advanced and preliminary datasheets. Reviewing DVT test plans and overseeing their execution. Developing and characterizing evaluation boards. Managing projects, supporting internal and external customers, and working with design engineers, lab operators, and technical associates to execute tasks. Job Qualifications: Results-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines and adapt to shifting priorities. Experience in high-frequency microwave PCB design. Hands-on experience with microwave and millimeter-wave measurements (gain, power, IM3, noise figure). Proficiency with Keysight PNA-X instrument up to 110 GHz. Familiarity with common microwave test equipment (VNA, spectrum analyzer, NF analyzer, two-tone intermodulation measurements). Measurement automation skills are a plus. Experience in RF on-wafer probing. Experience with pulsed measurements is a plus. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions. US permanent residency or citizenship required.
