Minimum Age Requirements: Must be at least 16 years of age to apply QUALIFICATIONS: At least 16 years of age. High School Diploma or currently in school. Work experience in a structured environment preferred. JOB GOAL: Assist Senior Counselor in planning, organizing, and implementing group activities while promoting the mission of the camp. RESPONSIBILITIES & FUNCTIONS: Assist the Senior Counselor with the safety of all campers assigned to their group. Assist the Senior Counselor in the supervision of the campers assigned to their group. Assist the Senior Counselor in supervising, monitoring, and participating in all activities scheduled daily to the group, including arts and crafts, sports, table games, and rec room activities. Assist the Senior Counselor in supervising, monitoring, and participating in all field trips assigned to the group by the camp. Assist the Senior Counselor in supervising, monitoring, and participating in swimming lessons along with the pool staff. Assist the Senior Counselor in supervising, monitoring, and participating in the end of camp show. Model appropriate Christian behavior at all times. Complete other duties assigned by the Senior Counselor, Camp Director, or Assistant Camp Director(s). REPORTS TO: The Junior Counselor reports directly to the Senior Counselor, Camp Director, and Assistant Camp Director(s). EVALUATION: The Senior Counselor will evaluate the Junior Counselor weekly based on successfully completing the responsibilities listed above.
