As a Research Scientist, you will work with a unique and gifted team developing exciting products for consumers and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Key job responsibilities
Perform statistical and bioinformatic analysis of biological data
Partner closely with research and development stakeholders on design and analysis of experiments
Evaluate and incorporate novel bioinformatic approaches to solve critical business problems
Basic Qualifications
PhD, or Master's degree and 5+ years of quantitative field research experience Experience analyzing both experimental and observational data sets Knowledge of R, MATLAB, Python or similar scripting language
Preferred Qualifications
Expertise with cutting edge life science-related tools and concepts Success partnering closely with lab teams on design and analysis of experiments Demonstrated experience developing, optimizing, or scaling new methodologies Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with great attention to detail and record keeping Work hands-on within a team of researchers to extend and interpret advanced methodologies Ability to work successfully within an entrepreneurial environment Ability to work within multidisciplinary teams at the interface of life science and computer science Facilitate interactions with collaborators, both internal and external

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $212,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
