Purdue Federal Credit Union is dedicated to fostering the academic and professional growth of interns by providing valuable hands-on experience. Through active involvement in meaningful projects and a structured, mentored-learning environment, Interns have the opportunity to enhance their skills and contribute to the credit union's success. Description * Assisting with audit preparation work for Internal Audits, External Audits, and Regulatory Exams. This will include documentation gathering, research, and file/account testing. * Conduct regular monthly activity items such as closed account letters and signature card review * There will also be opportunities for special projects as needed and deemed appropriate to the position
Required Skills Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements: Education Requirements
Must be a current undergraduate in the Purdue Krannert School of Management with a declared major in accounting, finance or business. Must be able to work 20 hrs. per/week during the school semester and 40 hrs. per/week during the summer months
Additional Requirements
Basic knowledge of internal controls Familiarity with accounting concepts and theory Technical competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) Ability to meet deadlines Ability to maintain confidentiality Ability to interact and communicate effectively - both orally and in writing Ability to assimilate and summarize information Ability to analyze information and come to a conclusion Ability to communicate, verbally and in writing, in a professional manner when dealing with employees, members, vendors and company contacts Ability to follow the core values of honesty, integrity, mutual respect, pride and ownership
