POSITION: Social Media Content Creator
DURATION: Full-Time
REPORTS TO : Creative Director
LOCATION: Glen Ellyn, Illinois
Amy Storm & Company is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Social Media Content Creator to join our talented team. The Social Media Content Creator will play a crucial part in supporting the Principal Interior Designer, Creative Director and CMO. Your efforts will contribute to the seamless integration of marketing and creative initiatives, ensuring that all content aligns with the high standards of the Amy Storm & Company brand.We are looking for an “out-of-the-box thinker” with expert knowledge of social content tools, current trends and internet culture.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Concept and develop uniquely creative and engaging content for all social platforms to elevate the brand, the work and the team at Amy Storm & Company. Then, analyze content performance to inform future content creation and strategies.
Platforms to develop content:
- Instagram (Posts/Reels/Stories)
- YouTube (Long Form and Shorts)
- TikTok (Posts)
- Houzz
Content to create and manage:
- Posts
- Reels
- Stories
- Long form videos
- Short form videos
- Photography
- Emails
- Website updates
Be the driver of unique ideas, thinking ahead of the curve, steering trend curation and thumb-stopping content audiences desire, re-watch and share.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITES:
Collaborate with the interior design team to gather insights and materials that can be translated into engaging and compelling content.
Video production + editing (capture and edit original video content and have a hand in all phases of video production from pre-to-post – filming, editing, sound design, etc.).
Develop a content calendar and schedule posts to ensure consistent and timely delivery of content.
Assist in the organization and preparation of photoshoots, videos, and other creative projects.
Stay current with social media best practices and the latest trends in design, marketing, and the interior design industry to bring fresh perspectives to the team.
Possible travel to capture content at out-of-state project sites.
QUALIFICATIONS :
A bachelor’s degree in design, marketing, digital communication, media/multimedia or a related field is preferred, but not required.
2-4 years of experience in a similar role.
Strong portfolio showcasing successful social media campaigns and content creation.
Strong visual and design skills with graphic design background (working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Canva)
Outstanding communication skills and ability to take creative direction and bring it to life through social storytelling. Copywriting experience is a plus.
Understanding of how to drive overall engagement.
Deep understanding of the subtle differences between content styles for each social media platform.
Ability to work effectively without oversight.
Exceptional organization, time-management and multi-tasking abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and communicate clearly.
Eagerness to learn, grow, and take on new challenges in a fast-paced office environment.
COMMITMENT:
Please note: This is an in-office position located in Glen Ellyn, IL. This is NOT a remote position — we have a collaborative environment and work well as a team in the office.
Full-time position can be considered for either 32 hours or 40 hours per week (compensation adjusted accordingly). Monday – Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
