We are seeking a
Software Quality Assurance Engineer
to join our team. Your role will involve internal quality audits (Automotive, ISO 26262, ASPICE) and interfacing with customers. If you are a strategic thinker with a passion for engineering, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
Work closely with development and product management to balance safety, quality, and commercial requirements across various industries.
Contribute to testing strategies.
Conduct Functional Safety Audits and Confirmation Reviews for software safety projects.
Support SW and CEH development teams regarding quality and product lifecycle.
Collaborate with the Safety Manager to ensure the QMS supports functional safety certification activities.
Improve and maintain the QMS and ISO 9001 certification.
Conduct quality assurance process and work product audits.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related.
5+ years experience in software (DO-178C), hardware (DO-254), or equivalent embedded development.
Experience with QMS compliance standards like ISO 9001, ISO 26262, IEC 61508, ISO 21434, and Automotive SPICE.
Aerospace experience (DO-178C/DO-254) preferred.
Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with management system auditing, preferably ISO 9001.
Location preference: Hartford area or willingness to travel approximately four weeks per year.
