Monday - Thursday 7:10 AM - 3:00 PM and Friday 7:10 AM - 12:00 PM What do we offer?

What are the duties and responsibilities?
Classroom Assistance
Help with inventory, care and maintenance of equipment Help maintain a neat and orderly classroom Assist students with physical disabilities according to their needs, including transferring to and from wheelchairs, lifting or positioning (if applicable) Assist students with physical needs and personal care, including feeding, bathroom needs and personal hygiene Assume responsibility for learning and adapting to each student's special medical, physical, communicative and emotional needs Work with individual student(s) or small groups to develop motor skills and conduct instructional exercises assigned by the teacher Supervision
Help manage behavior of student(s) as needed Help supervise student(s) throughout the school day, inside and outside of the classroom, including lunchroom, bus and playground duty Record Keeping
Help classroom teacher keep administrative records and prepare required reports Maintain confidentiality Keep teacher informed of special needs and/or problems of student(s) What are the required qualifications?
Must have a high school diploma. Willingness to go through (and pass!) the required clearances and training to ensure the safety and security of our children, including: four clearances, mandated reporter training, a physical and TB test, and First Aide-CPR Certification. This can typically be accomplished within a week to get you started. Capacity for sitting as this happens throughout the eight-hour day.
