Title: Instrument and Controls Design Technician Senior
Location: Manassas, VA
Duration: 12 months (Possibility of conversion to permanent role)
Description:
- You’ll be accountable for developing Piping & Instrument Diagrams (P&ID) following ANSI/ISA S5.1 symbology and panel design, including panel layout and I/O wiring diagrams, additionally, you’ll specify control and/or monitoring devices and control valves, including valve sizing calculations.
- Working closely with client to develop new and edit existing site sequences of operation documents for a wide range of semiconductor equipment.
- Reviewing construction submittals and helping answer RFI’s.
- You’ll also manage demanding project schedules, prepare accurate reports, and demonstrate communication skills.
Qualififcation:
- Associate of Applied Science Degree in Electronics or Instrumentation
- At least 10 years of I&C Design Experience
- Experience using AutoCAD and Revit
- Understand Piping & Instrument Diagrams (P&ID) following ANSI/ISA S5.1 symbology.
- Understand analog, digital, and relay field wiring and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of PLCs and SCADA systems.
- Experience specifying instruments and creating ISA datasheets.
- Experience reading and writing industrial SOO’s.
Preferred:
- Pressure, temperature, flow, and level installation, calibration, and maintenance experience.
- Industrial network experience.
- Experience building industrial control panels.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Suite, including MS Word, Access, Outlook, and Excel, and project delivery and schedule management software tools.
- Experience in semiconductor industrial or general industrial facilities.
- Experience in various aspects of industrial automation, instrumentation, electrical power, and building automation system design.
Other Requirements:
- This is an on-site position requiring work to be performed on the client site in Manassas, VA.
- Candidate must be willing to commute to the site Monday-Friday during normal business hours – nominally 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with some flexibility based on ability of site to support and employee preference.
- Relocation assistance may be provided for qualified candidates.
- The position requires field visits and walks at an active client site in various stages of construction.
- Applicant must be able to walk long distances, sit and stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, twist, crawl, climb ladders, work on catwalks, work in small spaces, lift and carry up to 25lbs.
