Who are we hiring?
The Senior Financial Analyst serves as a strategic and financial partner for Sphere Entertainment supporting the Sphere Sales and Marketing teams located in Nevada and California. The Senior Financial Analyst will play a role in assisting with budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning. The Senior Financial Analyst will support the Senior Director and Senior Manager of FP&A with the day-to-day operations of the departments.
What will you do?
Assist team in planning, executing, compiling, and analyzing the periodic results, monthly forecasts, annual budget, and long-range plan. Assist with monthly accruals, reclasses, prepaid expenses, etc. and investigate variances versus budget and forecast. Provide detailed monthly financial results for expense tracking, departmental reporting packages and key financial support schedules. Collaborate with Accounting to review monthly accruals, reclasses, prepaid expenses as necessary to ensure accurate monthly financial results. Manage daily and weekly reporting, including daily updates for Experiences P&L, weekly Private/Group Events financials outlook, and additional reporting to support business needs, and work with Data & Analytics team to explore opportunities for automation in Tableau. Create detailed analysis for presentations and reporting packages to Senior Leadership. Collaborate cross-functionally to develop process efficiencies (e.g. automate reports, management dashboards, PO tracking, etc.). Utilize financial planning software as necessary to support information requests. Assist operational teams with financial policies and best practices (Requisitions for proper coding, competitive bid requirements, etc.). Support completion of ad-hoc analyses, special projects, and presentations for various internal stakeholders and finance team. Establish strong relationships and collaborate frequently with operations, business leaders, and corporate partners. What do you need to succeed?
Minimum of 3+ years financial reporting/planning experience. Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Strong financial planning and analysis skills with extensive knowledge of monthly reporting, including monthly closes. Excellent Excel skills required; experience using Tableau, Oracle EPBCS/Smartview, Concur and Coupa applications a plus. Ability to build strong relationships with all customers (internal and external). Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to trouble shoot and problem solve. Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and open to learning new ways of working. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, tailoring the message based on the purpose, audience, and channel.

Pay Range
$75,000-$100,000 USD
