Position Summary
The Engineering Manager will oversee a team of software, mechanical, and electrical engineers, driving new product development and maintaining existing products. The role involves collaborating with product management, operations, sales, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities - Lead new product development, managing design, development, and integration of software, mechanical, and electrical systems.
- Collaborate with Product Managers and sales teams.
- Oversee R&D projects, guiding engineers and managing project timelines, budgets, and resources.
- Implement engineering best practices, including Agile and design for manufacturability.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety guidelines.
- Lead a multidisciplinary engineering team.
- Advise upper management on growth plans and engineering strategies.
- Align engineering strategies with company goals and product roadmaps.
Qualifications - Bachelor's (or Master's) degree in Engineering (Electrical or Software) or related field. Military experience considered in place of a degree.
- Minimum 5 years of engineering experience (Electrical or Software) in a manufacturing setting.
- At least 3 years of leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with hardware & software product lifecycle management; firmware experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance (ISO, FDA) and ERP systems preferred.
- Embedded systems experience preferred.
