Overview
Our Sr. Operations Managers are responsible for budget management, people development, and operational objectives within the fulfillment center. They oversee all aspects of site operations, manage and lead teams of Operations and Area Managers, and foster positive employee relations and leadership development. Responsibilities
Drive quality initiatives, process improvements, and Lean projects to meet and exceed business goals. Ensure safety, quality, performance, and customer experience in inbound or outbound operations. Set clear expectations for Operations and Area Managers, measure performance, provide feedback, and hold them accountable. Encourage idea sharing and develop improvement plans within teams. Promote best practices across departments and shifts. Collaborate with support functions (HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT) to secure resources and support for projects and initiatives. Lift and move totes up to 49 pounds. Perform bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching regularly. Walk extensively within the facility, which spans over a quarter mile. Stand or walk approximately 5 miles daily. Work in potentially noisy, unlit, unheated, or unair-conditioned environments. Access all areas of the building safely. Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or 2+ years Amazon experience. 7+ years of management experience in manufacturing, production, or distribution. Experience with performance metrics, process improvement, and Lean techniques. Experience with full staffing lifecycle management. Preferred Qualifications
Degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field; MBA preferred. Experience managing a contingent workforce during peak seasons. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle stressful situations well. Interest in long-term career development across multiple facilities nationwide. Additional Information
