What you bring to SBHG:

• High School graduate or equivalent required.

• Experience with programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point is preferred.

• Two (2) years of general office experience. Current or previous experience as a consumer of mental health services or as a family member/caregiver of a former or current mental health consumer.

• Fluency in a second language preferred.

• Valid California Drivers License

How you will make a difference:

Under direct supervision, the Office Assistant performs a variety of secretarial and clerical tasks for the Program Coordinator and Program Director, record keeping, sorting and light typing. In addition, acts as a receptionist for the program while greeting visitors. Handling extensive personal and confidential information is an essential job function of this position.

Division/Program Overview:

• Oasis Vocational Center provides vocational rehabilitation services to prepare and keep people employed.

• Working in conjunction with mental health service providers and the Department of Rehabilitation to assist clients in reaching their employment and career goals through:

  • Job coaching and training opportunities

  • Job development with employers

  • Identifying job opportunities and job placement based on client interest

  • Provide ongoing Job Support
