Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Base Pay Range:
$40.00/hr - $45.00/hr
Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Engineer will provide support to the Manufacturing team to enable production to meet the ship schedule and provide a high quality product to customers. The Manufacturing Engineer will also support the Logistics Team to create HTS Codes (Harmonized Tariff Schedule) for international products and parts. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, adaptability, and a willingness to work in a collaborative team environment are essential for success in this position.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Technology or other related field of study. In lieu of degree, relevant experience acceptable.
- 1-2 years of related work experience with BS degree.
- Excellent analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work across a variety of departments.
- Multi-tasking and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Appreciation and awareness for Manufacturing demand and prioritization.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Responsibilities:
- Identify the required information for Customs classifications and gather information from clients, websites, and colleagues from cross-functional departments such as engineering and R&D.
- Implement and provide support for new product introductions and existing product changes that impact Manufacturing, using the Engineering Change Order (ECO) process and other tools.
- Provide manufacturing floor operations support including:
- Improve and maintain manufacturing process instructions (MPIs).
- Support or lead Lean efforts to improve cell layout, replenishment, 5S, standard work, visual management, and quality at the source.
- Improve and maintain Kanbans and other replenishment processes to ensure components are always available and properly accounted for.
- Maintain manufacturing bills of materials (BOMs) to ensure replenishment processes correctly account for parts usage in manufacturing.
- Support or lead manufactured product quality continuous improvement efforts.
