Full Time Summary of Position
Assist Student Success & Persistence (SSP) with retention/success programs related to student success coaching. Serve as a liaison within SOAR (Success, Orientation, Access, and Retention) Student Success Coaching. Support first-time in college and first-time at CTC students through coaching, support, and referrals. Ensure students complete their degrees, certificates, and courses on time, meet personal and professional goals, and feel supported during their educational journey. Work with students from initial entry through program completion and graduation. Minimum Required Education
Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, education, or a related field from an accredited institution. A Master’s degree in psychology, post-secondary education, social work, student affairs, or related field is preferred. Minimum Required Experience
Two years of wage-earning experience in human services, education, or related field. Experience working one-on-one with individuals, helping them access resources, or managing life issues is preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Access or related database). Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Knowledge in student support and educational/vocational support. Initiative, creativity, flexibility, and resourcefulness. Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and timely. Ability to teach and model skills in time and stress management, problem-solving, adaptability, relationship-building, and collaboration. Hours
Full-time, Mon-Thu 7:30-5:30, Fri 7:30-11:30. Other Information
Requires occasional weekend and evening work. On-campus work required. May require occasional travel. Supplemental Questions
