Job Description

Job Title: Marketing - Student SEO Specialist (NFWS)

Position Summary/Purpose: The purpose of this position is to assist the Sr. SEO Specialist and SEO team in the Digital Marketing Department with web-based projects that are initiated within our team or funneled to us from leadership/the client services team.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities/Essential Functions:

Running a weekly forms testing report and communicating any failed forms tests to be resolved as needed

Opportunity for helping to create audience segments, tracking/metrics, website components and other necessary elements required for building/launching web tests

Complete keyword research to create/provide YouTube video title and description recommendations to our brand team

Assisting full-time Senior SEO Specialist and SEO team members with administrative and reporting tasks

Special projects as assigned

Equipment Used and Responsibility:

MacBook Pro (provided by IT)

Password-protected device to be guarded whenever not in use for the position Microsoft Office Suite

Various tools for communication and project tracking

SiteImprove - Web-based tool for website health and copy searches

Workamajig - Project management system and project time tracking

WorkDay - HR tool and official time clock

Drupal and/or WordPress - Website CMS for making updates on webpages

Kameleoon - Web-based tool for website testing and reporting

Conductor - Web-based tool for keyword/page content ideation and rankings research

Qualifications:

Current GCU students enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in marketing, business, communications and/or similar concentrations

Basic HTML knowledge a strong plus

Strong organizational and time management skills

Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate

Ability to maintain confidentiality

Willingness to work, learn, receive/implement feedback and be flexible

Experience/Education Eligibility:

Grand Canyon Education is committed to a student first policy. Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment:

Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a bachelor’s program or master’s program

Retain a 2.0 GPA as a bachelor-level student or a 3.0 GPA as a master-level student

Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University

You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum eligibility requirements.
