$140,000.00/yr - $170,000.00/yr We are seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to become an integral part of our team. This role is key to ensuring the highest standards of product quality and customer satisfaction. As the primary quality advocate, you will interface with customers, manage compliance activities, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Act as the primary liaison for customers on quality matters, including product assessments, technical issues, returns, and corrective actions. Represent the company in customer surveys, audits, and site visits. Ensure compliance with performance specifications, documentation standards, and customer expectations, including reviewing and approving design documentation. Coordinate and validate adherence to DCMA requirements for product delivery and support DCMA audits. Organize Customer and Government Source Inspections (CSI/GSI) as required. Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) in line with customer contracts and source control drawings, documenting results in AS9102 format. Collaborate across teams to resolve issues. Lead efforts to address customer concerns, ensuring thorough and timely corrective actions (CAPA). Manage customer scorecard reviews and responses to audit findings. Review contracts and purchase orders for compliance and potential risks, including documentation, exemptions, and outsourced processes. Facilitate internal reviews to ensure proper flow-down and execution. Support ISO-9001 and AS9100 certification efforts, reporting key performance metrics and leading continual improvement initiatives. Investigate product- and process-related quality concerns, approve nonconformance dispositions, and analyze trends to recommend improvements. Provide quality input during design development phases (PDR, CDR, TRR) and customer meetings. Undertake other duties, projects, and tasks as required. Qualifications and Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field. 3–5 years of experience in process engineering or product quality assurance within electronics or mechanical products. Hands-on experience in ISO-9001 certified Quality Management Systems. Proficiency in standard Quality tools and techniques (5 Whys, Fault Tree Analysis, process mapping). Familiarity with MIL-STD-883 and MIL-PRF-38534 standards. Prior experience delivering hardware for aerospace or defense programs is strongly preferred. Knowledge of AS9100-certified organizations, including customer flow-down and Q-Clauses, is a plus. Professional certifications such as ASQ CQE, CQA, CSQP, CRE, or equivalent are advantageous. Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible to obtain Security Clearance. Seniority level
