Infrastructure Systems Administrator

Springfield, MA (100% onsite)

Description This role requires an Infrastructure Systems Administrator with strong VMware and server infrastructure skills to support and maintain core network and server technologies.
Key Skills Needed
VMware/vSphere/Hyper-V
Windows Server
Responsibilities
Support core technologies including VMware vSphere, Microsoft Windows Servers, Cisco Nexus, Cisco Catalyst, Cisco UCS, Palo Alto, Citrix, Office 365, IBM servers, and storage.
Collaborate with IT, management, and consultants to design and implement IT solutions meeting business objectives.
Evaluate new hardware, software, and communication products for network compatibility.
Assist in designing, deploying, and maintaining LANs, WANs, and wireless networks.
Implement and manage security systems like firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
Test new technologies in a lab environment before deployment.
Respond to network issues and outages, providing troubleshooting and resolution.
Perform preventative maintenance and fault isolation on network hardware.
Design disaster recovery plans for systems and networks.
Manage vendor relationships and assist in procurement processes.
Create and maintain technical documentation and reports.
Participate in on-call rotation for 24/7 critical system support.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience.
5+ years of relevant experience in systems, networking, and security.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
