Seeking Technical Writer candidates with relevant Energy, Science, and Technology Research Sector Experience (functional and technical area expertise also ideal) to support professional services engagement for Energy, Science, and Technology Research Sector Clients such as DOEOP. This as a Contract Contingent or Contract W-2 (IRS-1099) Mapping Support Functional Area - Energy Technical Consulting Position; however, ProSidian reserves the right to convert to a Full-Time ProSidian employed W-2 Position. JOB OVERVIEW Provide services and support as a Energy Technical Consulting (Technical Writer) in the Energy, Science, and Technology Research Industry Sector focussing on Business Process Solutions for clients such as Department of Energy (DOE | OP) | DOE Office of Policy (OP) Generally Located In CONUS - Washington DC and across the Mid Atlantic Region (Of Country/World). RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Prepares technical documentation and reports to communicate mapping updates and findings. Align with Mapping Support Functional Area initiatives as a Technical Writer that Develop documentation for mapping updates, data processes, and public-facing materials related to geospatial projects. Provide Public Comment Review, Data Analysis, Modeling, Evaluation, Mapping, Forecasting And Report Development, Data Tracking Tools, Workforce Policy Analysis And Convening, as well as Energy Market Economic And Regulatory Analysis Technical Consulting Services and support for The Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Policy (OP). These services enable mission objectives involved with renewable energy, fossil fuels, nuclear energy, hydrogen, biofuels, carbon capture, energy storage, grid modernization, energy efficiency, and sustainable infrastructure technologies. Technical Writer is responsible for key functions such as developing analyses, supporting initiatives, and ensuring alignment with project objectives. The role of Technical Writer and Documentation Specialist involves supporting DOE initiatives with analysis, collaboration, and strategic implementation. Update and validate geospatial data to support visualization and analysis of energy infrastructure. Qualifications Desired Qualifications For Technical Writer | Mapping Support [DOEOP075080] Candidates: Qualified candidates for Technical Writer must possess expertise in their respective field, with experience in energy, policy, and technical consulting. Qualified candidates for Technical Writer and Documentation Specialist must possess domain expertise, technical proficiency, and experience in related fields. Education / Experience Requirements / Qualifications Candidates for Technical Writer typically require a Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., energy, environmental science, policy, or engineering) and a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience. Skills Required Key skills for Technical Writer include analytical thinking, proficiency in data analysis tools, strong communication abilities, and subject matter expertise in energy and policy domains. Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools. Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills for effective team management. Outstanding time management and prioritization abilities to meet project milestones. Adaptability to changing project requirements and priorities. Ability to multi-task and pay close attention to detail. Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills. Strong communication skills, both oral and written. Competencies Required Competencies for Technical Writer include problem-solving ability, adaptability, teamwork, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of energy sector operations. Other Details The Technical Writer role may involve cross-functional collaboration and participation in high-level DOE strategy discussions. The Technical Writer and Documentation Specialist role may involve cross-functional collaboration and strategic discussions. This role is estimated to be engaged as Full-time role dedicated to creating and editing technical documentation and reports. Due to the sensitive nature of our work, the individuals who will be actively completing work on this contract or reviewing documents related to our operations must either be cleared (Secret Fcl / Top Secret Fcl) or be able to obtain and maintain a clearance (i.e. DOE Q).
