Description
The Regional Sales Manager identifies and develops channel opportunities for Gorilla Glue and O’Keeffe’s products in North American Hardware Store markets.
This position will execute and assist in developing field sales-driving initiatives while managing key account businesses within the Hardware Store channels. It will deliver financial and fiscal opportunities for our Gorilla and O'Keefe's brands, contribute to the outcomes that achieve the customer plan for the Hardware Business, support the brand strategy agenda at the customer level, leverage customer insights, optimize growth levers with multifunctional team and sales, and support analysis around relevant key performance indicators.

What will your day look like?
- Develop plans for your respective territory/accounts while delivering financial expectations, brand vision, and corporate financial goals.
- Achieve targeted sales objectives for revenue and profitability consistent with the annual business plan by identifying business opportunities and working with cross-functional teams to develop unique and profitable product offerings for the field to accelerate growth for the channel.
- You'll be comfortable interfacing with store owners and buyers in a fast-paced growth environmentwhile driving visibility to leadership regarding business details.
- Develop relationships and form strategic alliances with field teams across all hardware accounts to help influence the trail of new programs, tests, and off-shelf support.
- Plan and conduct business meetings to ensure key regional accounts are kept current on product lines, features, and brand strategies in strategic markets
- You will lead and adapt to business needs while managing through opportunities, resulting in positive outcomes.
- Keep current on customer/competitor situations and generate plans to achieve market share objectives.
- Provide strong analytical, collaborative, and communication skills to plan, forecast, and analyze consumption trends leveraging to maximize sales.
- Ongoing in-depth understanding of budget tracking, assessing & developing strategies to deliver goals while providing visibility and contingency plans to deliver the budget.
- Develop multiyear strategies with detailed growth building blocks to support company growth plans specific to accelerating growth in the field.
- Knows how to spot and capitalize on opportunities and can secure leadership support for key business opportunities.
- Effectively lead and execute every step of the customer’s sales process.
What you bring to the table:
- Bachelor’s Degree; 5+ years of leadership experience in the field
- Must have positive growth experience with Home Improvement, Hardware Store Chains, and Regional Hardware warehouses. ACE Hardware, Do it Best, True Value, etc.
- Familiarity and developed relationships with key Hardware and Home Improvement channel partners.
- Financial and Business Acumen: Ability to evaluate financial and business indicators and translate data into actionable information to drive results
- Problem Solving & Decision Quality: Able to use rigorous logic and methods to solve problems with effective solutions
- Planning & Priority Setting: Demonstrate an ability to set objectives and goals and organize work appropriately to meet and exceed goals
- Process Management: Can identify and articulate the processes necessary to get things done efficiently and effectively & focus on continuous process improvements
- Systems and Tools Acumen: Strong knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI, TPM
- Pace: Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment with a flexible work style to adapt to changing priorities
- Change Management: Ability to adapt to a changing environment and lead others through change
- Communication: Clear, persuasive communicator (written and verbal), including active listening ability, fact-based selling, and presentation skills
- Well-developed influencing and negotiating skills to achieve results (both internally and externally)
- Display excellent customer service, selling, relationship building, and thought leadership skills
- Visible & passionate leadership, dedication to the development personnel & team, agility, open-mindedness, and support decisions & recommendations made by leadership
